Nestled in historic downtown Sanford, North Carolina since opening in 2011, the Carolina Artists' Colony is a retail store offering a dazzling variety of works from dozens of North Carolina potters, artists, and craftsmen of all sorts. Home to frequent, fun, special events and classes, the Colony's nine rooms are constantly filled from floor to ceiling with an exciting, ever-changing assortment of unique pottery, art, and handmade creations.

Open seven days a week almost every week of the year, the Carolina Artists' Colony is a mecca for shoppers on a quest, browsers on a wander, and arts enthusiasts seeking amazement and awe. Among the hundreds of pieces of art and handmade, artisan created works available for sale, visitors will find traditional, utilitarian, and art pottery, stoneware, and ceramics which have been wheel-thrown, hand-built, salt-glazed, raku fired, and hand-painted; handmade sterling silver, copper, fiber, and mixed metals jewelry with lampwork glass beads, clay, natural genstones, crystals, upcycled, repurposed, and vintage materials; watercolor, acrylic, alcohol ink, multi-media, collage, and oil paintings; photography, stained glass, repurposed/altered art, fiber art, sculpture, and more!
